Good evening, folks.
After a week of content writing before and after my day job, I’ve finished one of my short stories, my western short story, “Landed.” I had some pretty ridiculous goals for last week which, had I not had other obligations, I probably could have finished. But truth is, I just don’t have as much time now. But I am proud to get that one project done. It needs some editing as well as a cover design which I’ll begin looking at this week. Also this week, I’m looking to give some love to either is my short story, “Acquolina” which ties in with some of the events in Aequitas or one of my novella projects (one of which is a thromance (thriller/romance). Hopefully this week, I’ll get one of those finished up.
In other news, it seems as though the company that I do my website through (*cough* godaddy *cough*) has randomly and inexplicably deleted my previous email account. Unfortunately, this means I’ve lost several valuable contacts and important negotiations that I was in the middle of. While I try to piece together exactly what happened, I’ve got a replacement email set up in its place. You can now email me at info@voxthebook.com.
Yesterday I took a wonderful car trip in the rain and visited Bella Books, a local bookshop located right in the heart of downtown Belfast. I met the owners, had a pleasant conversation with them, and sold them a copy of my book, Vox. They have a really beautiful store. It’s the kind of book store that you like to go in and stay in for long periods of time while you browse for books. It’s small and comfortable and housed in an old fashioned brick building. Personally, that’s just how I love bookstores. And I’m glad I had the opportunity to visit their’s yesterday.
And last but certainly not least, I’ll be looking at amping up ads in the next few weeks to strike up some interest toward Aequitas. The facebook ads worked incredibly well on the promotion a couple weeks ago and I was very satisfied by them. Google has some very, very complicated ones that I’m not sure I properly understand yet but will be looking into further. And Goodreads… well… all I can say is that I’ll try with them once more and hope for a better result.
Oh, and I cooked the chicken for this week’s cooking adventure this evening. My god. You won’t want to miss this week’s blog on it… believe me.
Until then, it’s late and I can feel myself drifting away. It’s bed time, folks. Sweet dreams.
